Redevelopment

At Campbellford Memorial Hospital, we are committed to delivering the high-quality health care our community deserves. While our teams continue to provide excellent care, our current 72-year-old building presents significant challenges: limited space, aging infrastructure, accessibility constraints, and a layout that no longer reflects modern standards for safety, infection control, privacy, and patient experience. Expanding on our existing site is not feasible.

With the approval of a $2.5 million provincial planning grant, we are now moving forward with the redevelopment of Campbellford Memorial Hospital as part of a new Campus of Care in Campbellford. This campus will bring health services together in one location, improving access, collaboration, and continuity of care close to home.

Once complete, the Campus of Care will include:

  • A new hospital, designed for privacy, safety, accessibility, and modern infection control
  • A new Long-Term Care Home
  • Community Mental Health services
  • The Geriatric Assessment and Intervention Network (GAIN)
  • Future development of Supportive Senior Housing, helping seniors remain in their community longer
  • Shared spaces, greenspaces, and opportunities for expanded regional services such as restorative care, dialysis, and potentially MRI

This redevelopment is a once-in-a-generation project that will strengthen local healthcare, support recruitment and retention of health professionals, and serve our region for decades to come.
