Board of Directors
Overview of the Board of Directors
Campbellford Memorial Hospital is governed by an independent, volunteer Board of Directors comprised of 18 dedicated leaders who bring a broad range of expertise, lived experience, and commitment to serving the communities of Trent Hills and surrounding areas.
The Board includes 12 community members elected for up to three consecutive three-year terms. Their leadership is complemented by two voting ex-officio directors representing the Hospital Foundation and the Hospital Auxiliary, ensuring strong alignment across our broader hospital community.
The hospital’s President & CEO, Chief of Professional Staff, President of the Medical Staff, and Chief Nursing Executive also participate as non-voting directors, providing clinical and operational insight to support informed governance and strategic decision-making.
In addition, community advisors and members of the Patient and Family Advisory Committee (PFAC) contribute meaningfully through Board committees, helping ensure that patient and community perspectives remain central to our work.
Together, the Board provides strategic oversight, stewardship, and accountability to advance high-quality care for our region, today and into the future.

Role of the Board
The Board of Directors is accountable for the overall governance of Campbellford Memorial Hospital and for ensuring the organization fulfills its mission in service to the community.
The Board carries out its responsibilities in three key ways:
- Establishing policies that provide clear direction and oversight to management
- Monitoring hospital performance and operations to ensure the effective and responsible use of resources
- Making decisions in the best interests of the hospital, its patients, staff, physicians, volunteers, and the communities we serve
Our work is guided by the hospital’s Purpose, Promise and Values, and by a shared commitment to excellence in health care. We uphold the principles of compassion, learning and innovation, accountability, respect, and continuous improvement in community health care.
The Board works collaboratively with the President & CEO and members of the Senior Leadership Team to set and advance the hospital’s strategic priorities. A central focus of this work is planning for a new hospital facility to replace our aging infrastructure, a transformative investment in the future of care for our region. The Board remains actively engaged in advancing this project in partnership with our community and health system partners.
