Hospitalist Opportunities
Campbellford Memorial Hospital offers Hospitalists the opportunity to practice broad-scope rural inpatient medicine within a highly collaborative and well-supported environment.
Hospitalists at CMH are responsible for the care of patients admitted to our inpatient unit, including oversight of our 4-bed Special Care Unit, allowing for exposure to higher-acuity cases while maintaining continuity of care. The role supports a wide range of clinical presentations, providing physicians with the opportunity to maintain and expand a diverse skill set.
Physicians practice in a solo-provider model, allowing for meaningful autonomy and full-scope decision-making, while benefiting from strong interdisciplinary collaboration.
Hospitalists are supported by:
- Dedicated Nurse Practitioner support
- Experienced inpatient nursing team
- 24-hour Laboratory and Diagnostic Imaging services
- Access to on-site CT
- Strong collaboration with Emergency Medicine physicians and community partners
The typical Hospitalist schedule consists of one-week blocks, providing predictability and continuity during service weeks while supporting balance outside of clinical time.
CMH’s model offers physicians the opportunity to lead patient care directly, work closely with allied health professionals, and practice comprehensive rural inpatient medicine in a setting where clinical judgment and teamwork are highly valued.
