June 10, 2024 -The Campbellford Memorial Multicare Lodge marked a significant milestone last week, celebrating 25 years of providing supportive housing services to its residents. The anniversary event was a joyous occasion featuring great weather, lively music, dancing, and a celebratory BBQ. Tracy Carmen, who worked the first shift of the program 25 years ago, had the honour of cutting the anniversary cake.
Lodge Manager Jessica Clarke expressed her pride and gratitude for the dedicated staff and supportive community that have made this achievement possible. "It's incredible to look back and see how far we've come. Our mission has always been to provide a safe and nurturing environment for our residents, and seeing so many familiar faces celebrating with us is a testament to our success," Clarke said.
The celebration also featured entertainment provided by GAIN PSW Stephanie Mitchell, whose performance added a special touch to the event. Clarke added, "Stephanie's energy and talent brought everyone together, highlighting the sense of community that is at the heart of the Multicare Lodge."
The event was a reminder of the important role the Campbellford Memorial Multicare Lodge plays in the community, providing not just housing but a supportive and inclusive environment for all its residents. Clarke noted, "As we celebrate this milestone, we are also looking to the future, committed to continuing our support and expanding our services to meet the evolving needs of our residents."
