Visiting Hours at CMH during COVID19 Pandemic

Campbellford Memorial Hospital's COVID19 policy permits patients who are admitted to CMH, to identify one essential visitor. Essential visitors are family or designated support persons and are an important part of patient-centred care. This individual have and/or will support(ed) the patient before and after their hospital admission.This visitor can not change for the duration of the patient’s stay. Children under the age of 16 are not allowed to visit at this time.COVID positive patients or patients waiting for COVID swab results cannot have Care Partners or Visitors.

To help keep patients and staff at CMH safe during the COVID19 Pandemic,only care partners and visitors residing in the following public health units will be permitted entry to CMH: Hastings and Prince Edward; Peterborough; Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge; and Kingston Frontenac and Lennox & Addington.

Designated visiting hours are 10AM – Noon, 2PM – 4PM and 6PM – 8PM.Any visitors appearing outside of these times will be asked to leave the hospital.

All visitors entering the hospital are required to wear a mask and will be asked questions about their health and travel history. Visitors must pass screening in order to be allowed entry.

While in the hospital, visitors must make every reasonable effort to maintain social distancing space (2 metres) and complete hand hygiene frequently. Please remain with the patient you are in the hospital to support and refrain from moving about within the hospital. Both the hospital’s cafeteria and gift shop remain closed to visitors.

Virtual visiting isencouraged and is available Wednesday and Friday. Virtual visitors must have access to Zoom or FaceTime. Any patient to be deemed palliative may be allowed an increased number of visitors or variant times. All exceptions must be approved by the Team Leads and/or Management.

While CMH recognizes the important role family and support persons play for patients who are admitted to hospital, we also have a role to play in keeping are patients, staff and community safe. Where possible, patients are encouraged to utilize our complimentary phone service, Wi-Fi and virtual visiting as alternative options to connecting with loved ones.
