Campbellford Memorial Hospital wants to ensure meaningful and challenging employment experiences. As part of our vision to be a recognized leader in rural health care we are always looking for ways to improve and innovate. We are also dedicated to providing a workplace that is welcoming and progressive, offering opportunities for personal and professional growth and support in clinical practice.

Accordingly, we have a full-time Collaborative Practice Leader dedicated to ensuring that our staff’s Clinical education needs (both nursing and allied health) are regularly assessed and met. We offer regular training in a number of areas that are beneficial to staff both personally and professionally.

The Cathy Archer Nursing Education Award

Continuing education is something long-time CMH nurse Cathy Archer firmly believed in. An endowment was created in 2014 in her memory and funding an annual education bursary at CMH is a wonderful way to recognize her legacy of dedication to others and hard work.

Using a generous personal gift, along with in-memoriam gifts, Cathy Archer’s husband, Leonard, and their daughters, Carrie and Tara, have established The Cathy Archer Endowment Fund with the CMH Foundation. The funds have been securely invested with the proceeds each year funding The Cathy Archer Nursing Education Award. The $500 award is presented annually during Nursing Week to a Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse who has advanced their skills through continuing education.
